In 2024 Bammedia secured the tender for the rebrand of 'Visit Louth' (the tourism brand of Louth County Council). The core objective of this branding initiative was to create a compelling and cohesive brand identity that could be used extensively across multiple formats and media. The aim of the new brand was to evoke a sense of discovery, adventure, and cultural richness, aligning with Louth’s tourism goals of increased visitor engagement and promoting sustainable tourism growth.
There are many reasons to visit Louth from awe inspiring historical sites and soul-awakening coastal adventures to local seafood trails and fun-filled festivals. Inspired by this, we set about creating a vibrant brand identity that captured an authentic experience of Louth.
Much like a hidden gem our brand logo has references hidden in plain sight. Representing the natural beauty of Louth, we incorporated a rising sun and rolling waves. A nod to the medieval Laurence's Gate and Monasterboice High Cross represents the vast historic heritage of Louth. And finally a flag flapping in the wind represents the culture and the many festivals and events that entertain visitors and locals alike.
The tagline "OUT HERE, IT"S LEGENDARY" is an invitation to get out here and discover all we can offer, but also is our brand promise; to learn about legends past, to visit legendary places, eat legendary food, and have a legendary time. This tagline is brought to life across our advertising and marketing campaign.
